CAPER BERRIES

CAPER BERRIES

If left unharvested, capers release flowers that then give rise to the plant's fruits, also known as "cucunci" in southern Italy and "capperonzoli" in the north.

With a more delicate flavor than the buds, caper fruits are larger and plumper, with a characteristically elongated berry shape.

Excellent as an aperitif or with appetizers, or to enhance salads and side dishes, they are a true delight for the palate, adding a touch of class to dishes.
