CAPER BERRIES

CAPER BERRIES

If not picked, capers let their flowers bloom, which then give rise to the plant's fruits, also called cucunci in southern Italy and capperonzoli in the north.

With a more delicate flavor than the buds, caper fruits
are larger and plumper, with their characteristic elongated berries.

Excellent as an aperitif or with appetizers, or to enhance salads
and side dishes, they are a true delight for the palate,
giving a special touch to dishes.
